A new look Australian side with a new skipper and a new coach will take the field on 13th June against the English Lions. Australia will be featuring in an International game after the infamous Ball-tampering saga which shook the cricketing world around the globe.
Australia has included some new faces in the absence of their prime players Steve Smith and David Warner who were imposed with a ban of one year. Michael Neser is the uncapped player while, Alex Carey the wicket-keeper batsman has been capped once in the ODI’s. D Arcy Short will be making his debut in this series but has a fair experience of playing in T20s for Australia.
The Kangaroo’s have played two One-day practice games against Sussex and Middlesex, they won both the matches comprehensively by a margin of 57 runs and 101 runs respectively. The batsman made merry of this chance as Marcus Stoinis scored a brilliant 110 against Middlesex while, Travis Head scored 106 against Sussex.
England last faced Australia after they were thrashed in the Ashes series 4-0, but the way they bounced back in the ODI series embarked their remarkable comeback as they clinched the series 4-1. England though had a shocking defeat against Scotland in their last ODI at Eidenburgh by 6 runs. They will look to rip off that defeat and will look to start on a fresh note in this series.
