Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 1st Test |BAN vs ZIM WHO WILL WIN

After sweeping aside Zimbabwe in the ODI series hosts Bangladesh will look to continue their good run-of-form in red-ball cricket when they lock horns with the tourists on Saturday.

Bangladesh’s last Test assignment ended in a dismal 2-0 drubbing in the Caribbean where their much-vaunted batting line-up was blown away in seaming conditions by a potent Windies attack.

But none of it is going to have a bearing on the current series as in their home conditions, the Asian Tigers have been a tough nut to crack in the past few seasons. Victories against England (2016) and Australia (2017) testify the aforementioned fact and on slow and low turners against the likes of Mehidy Hasan and co, Zimbabwe will have a herculean task of stemming their streak of 7-Test series loss in a row.

Zimbabwe’s last win came five years ago against Pakistan at Harare. Since then, they have proceeded to lose every single Test match; the last of which came against the Proteas where they were bowled out twice in a single day.

2018 haven’t been good either for the African nation. After failing to qualify for next year’s World Cup, they’ve proceeded to lose every single International match including two back-to-back whitewashes against South Africa and Bangladesh.

At the newly opened Sylhet Stadium, a trial by spin awaits Taylor & Co and the way they react to it, will define the course of the series.
