We are not sure how much digital did India get since Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Digital India campaign but Indians are already spending their nights streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, Voot, Hotstar, etc., bingeing Tv shows and movies. Amazon chief Jeff Besos stated that “Amazon Prime is the most visited site in India and it is expected to double in just one quarter.” So, there goes the train of working people tired after a day of hectic work, and to them, online streaming is the relaxing moment. A few giggles here and there and a change of mindset don’t hurt either even though the brief moment is completely forgotten within an hour or so. Then there are those people, who go the extra mile and try out their luck and what’s better way to try it than Indian Rummy.

It is played by more and more people with every passing day. With more than 5 million people trying it out every day there are punters across India who have won INR 36,593, 161 from and the list goes on and on. Even INR 3000 is also given to new signings under their guidelines.  Indian Rummy is a card game that requires your mathematical and deduction skills as it is a game of luck people call it, luck is of least importance if the game is played more than just a couple of rounds.

How does the game work?

The first thing that comes to mind is that rummy has a chance element as it is being dealt with us and we cannot pick or choose but to be honest, it is one of the fewer card games that have no chance element or luck factor in it as people think it to be. From the time, the player can discard or pick cards as he can strategise and want to play the game. The strategy is the only thing that decides who’s going to be the winner and who’s not in this game.

People also call a terrible game as a poor hand dealt and a winning game as a winning hand dealt, but it’s also pointless. Honestly speaking, the only thing that can decide whether you lose or win a rummy game is how you deal the cards that you have. So, every discard that you are making and every time you pick a card, you are building or breaking your own game. However in Indian Rummy is only different than the standard Rummy game is that the number of cards dealt is 13 cards to each player.

Every player picks or discards a card from the closed or open deck to complete the cards in sets or sequences in a clockwise manner. The reason for having a primary 13-card strategy is to make valid sequences and sets before everyone else. Once either player discards a card in the discard stack, the game will end. The players are required to arrange the cards in proper sequences and then place them on the table to show their hands to other players. If the player’s hand meets the objective, he is declared the winner. At the conclusion of the side, the unmade points held by the losing players are totalled. Scoring is rounded off to the nearest five (for example, 62 points becomes 60).

What makes online rummy such an excellent entertainment source?

Like every other game that has involved a luck factor is always entertaining. It is because some people believe that it is only luck that revolves around all cards game and those who know that skills matter the most in this game find it enjoying defying luck. There are so many games people play just for some light fun, and it is same for the rummy game in India. One of the reasons that make rummy a favourite card game in India and it has been played for years now. The same just got transpired into the digital domain and can be played online. Now one doesn’t have to wait for other members to return from work, one can just enjoy the game at the leisure of his home’s comfort. However, what makes this game unique is the involvement of real cash rewards that are given to the winner. The minimum entry fee for a player to start playing online rummy is by a mere deposit of Rs. 25.

The most often asked question that people ask is will I win every game of Rummy? The answer is yes but only, if you are the very best and you know how to play it. From a practical point, you are most likely to compete with better players as it is not just the local players but also from all part of the country. So, if you can better them then congratulations, you are the one. Sounds tough, right? Well, this is the challenge rummy gives to its players and the more you play, the smarter opponents you get in the game.

Why is it in high demand among players?

We all want a game that is lively, fast and that can be played from anywhere across the country. Rummy fits this description just perfectly. The game can be enjoyed by a mobile device and even also from the desktop. All you have to do is to download the app and hit play from anywhere. What attracts players the most is the lucrative offer that is given in cash prizes. Just play a game or two a day, and it can make your bank account look satisfactory. The investment you do to play a rummy game is perhaps less than what you will spend on a movie ticket.

With a clear and simple user interface, fast gameplay and live tournaments running 24×7, the players get the absolute freedom to play a game whenever they want, even in the dead of night.

Conclusion

The concept of entertainment has changed today. It is no more about TV serials, movies or just international shows. They want something more, something that can add some value to their life. Rummy comes out as a clear winner. Improving the strategy of the player, sharpening his memory and making him win cash, is one of the things that keep a player coming back for more and more. I always hate talking about myself because it feels weird to talk about myself honestly. Ever think that it's weird? No? Just me? My bad. Always hungry, always sleepy and in between always writing. Hope you won't mind!
