Nikita Luther has won second WSOP bracelet for India.
Last year, Aditya Sushant- Nipun Java team registered a historic victory in the WSOP Tag Team Event and this year, Adda52 team Pro Nikita Luther with German pro Guiseppe Pantaleo has won Event #55- $ 1,000 Tag Team NLHE claiming a whopping $175,805 (INR 1.20 Crore) after their win.
The Event #55- $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit’em drew 1,032 entries that generated a prize pool of $928,800 which was paid to top 155 teams.
Who is Nikita Luther?
Nikita Luther is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Poker Sports League. She has earned $111,522 in live games.
She made her WSOP debut last year where she managed to win 3 cashes with her best cash coming from the $3,000 NLHE where she won $8,173 finishing in 71st spot.
She finished 5th in WPT500 Aria in 2017 where she earned $65,000 in the prize.
This year, she entered Event #34: $1,000 Double Stack NLH where she finished 525th spot for $2,038.
She also participated in Event #54: Big Blind Antes $3,000 NLH for $18,495 and finished on the 17th place.
Day 3 of the Event #55 – $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em of WSOP 2018 started with 28 teams .
Team Bon Koo-Bienvenido Caballero had the lead with 828,000 in chips in the beginning.
The team of Pantaleo & Luther entered Day 3 with a decent stack of 260,000.
Both Nikita and Pantaleo kept playing at the final table as they exerted pressure on the other teams.
They kept on going strong and never looked back after they eliminated the team of Alex Rocha-Megan Milburn-Joanne Milburn in fourth place and increased their chip stack for taking the lead in the three-way play.
On the last hand, Pantaleo moved all-in with 2 of diamonds- 2 of hearts and Iwata called with Ace of diamonds-9 of diamonds.
While Iwata flopped a pair of Aces, a 2 on the river completed a set of twos as the Guiseppe Pantaleo and Nikita Luther won the event.
