Match Indian Poker League is soon going to host its next season where they will be collaborating with MTV to hunt for India’s poker pro by conducting online tournaments. These poker pros would then go on to representing eight teams in the matches during MatchIPL.
MatchIPL or Match Indian Poker League was launched in 2017 by Viaan Industries Ltd. which is managed by British Industrialist Raj Kundra and actress Shilpa Shetty with Match Poker chief Patrick Nally.
Though the government and the law are still yet to consider poker as a game of skill, it is gradually gaining popularity in India. For the third edition of MatchIPL, MTV has collaborated with them and the hunt for finding the next poker pro of India is going to be on.
The eight teams that will feature in the Match Indian Poker League are Ahmedabad Hearts, Bangalore Royals, Haryana Hawks, Kolkata Diamonds, Jaipur Jewels, Pune Kings, Mumbai All-Stars and UP Indians.
MTV Pro Hunt for selecting the representatives for the eight teams have started and 28th September to make poker accessible to all Indian players.
The MTV ProHunt tournaments hosted on PokerRaj which is an online poker platform launched by Raj Kundra. Poker Raj tournaments can also be played on the platform’s app. The tournament can be played without paying any cost but the players must be 21 years old or more than 21 years old to be eligible for participating in the MTV ProHunt online tournaments. The games that are offered in the tournament are in Texas Hold’em format and the players can select individual team’s tournaments for winning the chance to lead a team in MatchIPL.
Tournaments for the selection of the representatives of Ahmedabad Hearts, Jaipur Jewels, Bangalore Royals, Mumbai All-Stars and Kolkata Diamonds.
The tournaments for Pune Kings and UP Indians is going to be held on 13th and 14th October 2018.
