Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 | Argentina vs England
The first quarter-final of Odisha Hockey World Cup 2018 is here, and the teams contesting in this gruelling affair is the Rio Olympics Gold medalists Argentina and England who have fought really hard to come up to this juncture.
They have had a terrific World Cup as they sustained their 2nd world ranking status and topped Pool A with 2 wins and a loss.
Their only loss or upset came against World Cup debutants France who have really played well and have made their way into the Quarterfinals.
That 3-5 loss was the only low point for them in an otherwise supreme tournament.
For England, it wasn’t a cakewalk at all throughout the Wolrd Cup. In the Pool stages, they finished second with a win, a loss and a draw in the three games they featured.
Their only win in that stage came in their last Pool game against Ireland by 1-0 and then the following cross-over game against Black Sticks was 2-0 affair.
