The Sacramento Kings will want to resume their winning streak after succumbing to two straight defeats when they take on the LA Lakers at home on Saturday.
The LA Lakers have had a forgettable season so far amassing just 5 wins of their 11 games so far. Their performances have been impressive at times, but those times unfortunately haven’t lasted long for them. They’re yet to go three games undefeated on the trot and have probably been the most inconsistent of the 30 sides. Lakers have been prone to defensive lapses and have very little breathing space after their poor start to the season. They can’t afford any more slipups now and will desperately want to get going against the Kings on Saturday.
Hosts Sacramento Kings were on a roll with five impressive wins on the trot but that run came to a crashing halt with two defeats in their last two games against the Raptors and Bucks. Their next game couldn’t have come against any better opponents. Though tricky, they’ll any day take playing a struggling Lakers side than play an in-form version of the giants from Los Angeles.
Match Timing: 10 November, 2018, @ 08:30 AM IST
Venue: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California
Lakers’ head coach, Luke Walton, confirmed on Friday that Lonzo Ball tweaked an ankle during a practice session and won’t be available to start tomorrow against the Sacramento Kings. Of all the available options, Rajon Rondo is the most likely replacement for Ball.
With no new injuries expected to prop up, Sacramento Kings are expected to come out with the same lineup that took on Timberwolves.
LeBron James, irrespective of the form he is in, is a threat to the opposition with his lightning quick points and rebounds. He will hold the key for LA Lakers, as he has always done, and will be the driving force for them if they’re to win tomorrow.
Brandon Ingram has stepped up to cover up for the failure up front for the LA Lakers. He will be a vital asset for the Lakers against the Kings and well might prove to the difference between the two sides.
De’Aaron Fox will be assigned with the job of LA Lakers’ point guards with his pace and skills. He will be instrumental in Kings’ plans against LeBron James and the LA Lakers.
Willie Cauley-Stein will have a tough job of keeping up with his counterpart, and outclassing him as well at times. He has been at the helm of every win for the Kings and they’ll most likely need him big time if they’re to tame the Lakers tomorrow.
Watching the LA Lakers in such woes is not pleasing for a neutral. Come Saturday and Lakers will expect to show what they’re known for. With criticisms peaking up, LA Lakers will try and win this one at any cost. Our prediction, rather against the usual one, predicts a win for LA Lakers.
