Overview:
Heavyweights of the Western Conference take each other on as LA Lakers travel to face Oklahoma City Thunder in the regular season of the NBA on Friday. The Lakers are a shadow of their former selves in the second half of the season. Ever since their superstar LeBron James got injured, the team has won only four games which has seen them go tumbling down from the fourth spot to the eighth spot in the Western Conference table. The young guns are trying as hard as they can, but still, they need to produce a more mature performance in order to guarantee a place in the roster for next season.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City Thunder are the third-placed side in the league table. They are one of the best teams defensively but are coming off a hard loss to lowly Atlanta Hawks. The team has one of the best cores in the game with the likes of Paul George, Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams. If this franchise performs at their highest level, it is hard to see them getting beaten, and maybe they are trying to preserve their energy for the playoffs where giving everything you have really matters.
