Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers NBA 2019 Playoffs Match Preview

Things are heating up in the Western Conference as Golden State Warriors travel to face Portland Trail Blazers in the third game of the finals on Saturday.

Golden State Warriors are one of the best sides to have ever been assembled in basketball, and they have showcased how truly great of a shooting side they are. The team is led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, as the duo are destroying anything that is in front of them. Even though Kevin Durant is injured, they are still competent enough to showcase why this side is the two-time defending champion, and favourites to win it all over again this year as well.

Meanwhile, Portland Trail Blazers almost won the last game if everything went their way, but hard luck caused them to be less than impressive in the fourth quarter. The team had the perfect gameplan and caused a lot of problems, and this will serve them as a motivation to keep on doing much of the same. The franchise is dependent on Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, the two backcourt superstars, and they are expected to bring the fire in their own backyard.

GSW vs POR Dream11 Team:

Team 1:

This is the third game of the Western Conference Finals that will take place in Portland‘s backyard. That’s why we have gone for a 4:4 ratio to have an even team.

Stephen Curry has been the star of this series so far, as the man is averaging 36.5 points in the first two games and is shooting the ball 44.3 % from the three-point line, that’s why is an obvious choice.

His Splash brother and teammate Klay Thompson too is in the team as he is averaging 25 points in the first two games and he is shotting at an average of 42% from the three-point range.

The duo has been unstoppable, and are unmissable regardless of their credit points, for Golden State Warriors.

From Portland Trail Blazers, their backcourt starters in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are included in the Dream11 team.

Lillard hit four three-pointers in the last game, and this being in his own backyard will help his cause as he will feed off the crowd while hitting more 30 feet plus shots.

CJ McCollum too has been incredible as his 41% three-point shooting average helps his cause to play more than 40 minutes in a game. He will be looking to have yet another big game at the Moda Center.

The rest of the players such as Kevon Looney and Jonas Jerebko from GSW and Evan Turner along with Zach Collins from POR are taken as fillers.

The first four players are the ones on whom the entire game or maybe series depends on, and we can compensate their credit points by including players such Looney or Turner who play a second fiddle role in the team.

For your choice in the Star Player department, you have an option amongst Curry who is hitting his shots, Thompson who is running the game on both ends of the pitch, Lillard who has been incredible at the home court and McCollum who has risen to the occasion in playoffs. We have gone with Lillard, but you can choose either of these four.

Team 2:

Here we have gone for a safe approach as a 5:3 ratio in favour of Golden State Warriors is taken.

Seth Curry replaces Damian Lillard, as the little Curry did perform exceptionally well in the last game. he scored 16 points and hit the ball from the three-point line at a 57.1% as well.

Andre Iguodala too has been brought in as the Former NBA Finals MVP has been impressive in the playoffs as well on both ends of the pitch.

The last change has seen Zach Collins being replaced by his teammate and starter Enes Kanter who poses a giant threat offensively in favour of Portland Trail Blazers.

In this team, we have gone for Steph Curry as the Star Player, and the reasons are mentioned above in the Key Players section.

GSW vs POR Dream11 Predictions:

Portland Trail Blazers are going to be winning this game and come back in the series with a 2-1 scoreline.
