Matchweek 12 of the English Premier League off with Brighton and Hove Albion taking on Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium in an early kick-off on Saturday.
Brighton’s three match win streak came to a halt with a 3-1 defeat to Everton last week. Chris Hughton must be fairly positive about his side though as they’ve managed to collect maximum points from their fixtures against their own level opponents. Their defeats have come against the top 6 sides which is more or less a respite for Hughton. They now have comparatively easier fixtures and will desperately want to make the most of it.
Cardiff find themselves lagging in the relegation zone despite a series of spirited performances. Their only win so far has come against Fulham, the only side below them in the points table. It is not all lost for the promoted side yet, but they’ll have to quickly turn things around if they’re to extend their stay in the top flight.
When and Where?
The match will be played on Cardiff’s home ground, the Cardiff City Stadium, with an early kick-off at 06:00 PM IST on Saturday.

Glenn Murray is Brighton’s top goal scorer with 6 goals from 11 games this season and will be critical in Brighton’s attempt to breach the home side’s defence.
Josh Murphy has had just two goals from his 9 games but is still Cardiff’s best bet in front of the goal. He will have to step up and deliver if Cardiff are to take any positive tomorrow.
Brighton are much higher on points table and look a much more stable side than Cardiff. However, Cardiff’s form at home has been on the positive side and that will give them an edge over their visitors. Staying true to the form though, we predict Brighton to win 2-0.
