Dubai, October 15 at 02:30 PM IST
New Zealand A were handed a humiliating defeat by Pakistan A on their tour opener at ICC Academy in Dubai.
The visiting New Zealand A won the toss and opted to bat. The opposition bowling was too good for them as they kept losing wickets at regular interval. They were bowled out for 65, with Umaid Asif claiming a 5-fer.
In reply, Pakistan’s chase received a jolt with an opening batsman getting out in a mix-up. However, there was not much challenge from the visiting bowlers as Pakistan A cruised to the set target in the 13th over.
Pitch conditions: It was a bowler’s game in the first game of the series. This one could be a similar affair where the ball dominates the bat.
Last T20 result at the venue: New Zealand A 65 all-out lost to Pakistan A 66/2 (12.5 overs)- October 12, Afghanistan Premier League 2018
New Zealand can make a couple of changes. Tom Blundell can come in as a pure batsman while Lockie Ferguson is another player in contention.
