NZ vs SL Dream11,Match 1 Test Series.
Match Details :
Date : 21/11/2019
Time : 3:30 AM IST.
Venue : Bay Oval,Mount Maunganui.
Battle between two pretty good teams,Kiwis starts as favorites because of their good record at home & also well balanced side.
Pitch Report :
This is the first test match at this venue,Bay Oval. The one domestic game took place recently here saw the pitch assisting pacers with Wagner picking 8 wkts in the game vs Central districts playing for Northern Knights where 35/40 wkts fell for the pacers.
Players form :
Dominic Sibley had great practice game scoring a ton.
Colin de Grandhomme is a valuable asset in NZ conditions where his accurate medium pace gets wkts with new ball & also he does decently with the bat.
Latham has been scoring truck load of runs & he’s a must going forward.
Ben Stokes is having a dream 2019 in both ODI and Tests so hes sure shot C & VC option.
We have normally seen these NZ conditions offering pacers way too much at start, the team batting first most of the times tends to be scoring less and once 5-6 sessions are done, the pitch turns out to be a batting paradise mostly in NZ so picking too many top orders from the team batting first won’t be a good option.
Playing XI :
Both the teams have announced their respective playing XI.
NZ : Latham,Raval,Kane,Taylor,Nicholls,CDG,Watling,Santner,Southee,Trent,Wagner
ENG : Sibley,Rory,Denly,Root,Stokes,Pope,Buttler,SCurran,Jofra,Broad,Leach.
Dream 11 team :
WK : Buttler.
Batters : Kane(C),Denly,Latham,Sibley.
Allrounders : Stokes(vc),Curran,Colin(vc).
Bowlers : Boult,Wagner,Jofra.
Will be a good idea to pick bowlers as Captain because the recently concluded domestic game shows how well pacers fared here, hence someone like Boult,Jofra will be good captain options.
Latham also a very good option,we have seen him converting to big scores once he gets a good start.
Having both the wk’s won’t be a bad idea,wk’s in tests are someone who gives you enough points just by taking catches.
Grand League Tips :
Picking Buttler/Watling as C in Grand league is worth it.
CDG is another option who have the capability to run through to order with his pace suiting NZ conditions.
Sibley had a great practice game, not many will pick him hence Sibley can be a very good option.
Not many have picked Wagner, many will eye for Boult,Southee,Jofra,Broad and in that case Wagner will be go unnoticed,he’s a pretty under rated test bowler,a work horse,he is worth a punt even in 100+ members league.
