Placed on the bottom, Yorkshire Diamonds lost to Western Storm by 7 wickets on Sunday. Batting first, Diamonds posted a decent total of 162-5 with the help of skipper Winfield’s 41 and D Kimmince’s unbeaten 55 coming down the order. In response, Western Storm chased down the target easily in 15.3 over, courtesy skipper Heather Knight (97 of 62) and Smriti Mandhana (48 of 20).

Lancashire Thunder had a failed batting show against Loughborough Lightning in the first encounter. Batting first, they only managed 72-10 on the scoreboard and lost by 6 wickets. An improved batting show is must for Thunders if they wish to cruise over Yorkshire Diamonds on Leeds.
