After playing out a hard-fought ODI series which ended with a 1-1 scoreline, Windies Women will lock horns with South Africa Women in what is a build-up to the impending Womens’ World Twentty20 in the Caribbean next month.

Venue:- Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados

Match Timing:- Monday, September 24, 2018, 11:00 PM IST

After the second ODI which ended in a washout, Windies Women came back valiantly to square the 3-match rubber. Hayley Matthews’s gritty 117 was at the heart of Windies win as the hosts buoyed by handy contributions from skipper Stefanie Taylor (47) and Deandra Dottin’s 44-ball-59, posted 5-293 in 50 overs. Marizanne Kapp was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas with figures of 4-55.

Chasing 294, none of the Proteas batsmen barring Laura Wolvaardt (54) and skipper Dane van Niekirk’s 77, could register scores in double-digit to eventually get bowled out for 177.

With the World T20 in sight, both teams will look to get their team combinations in place and garner a winning momentum leading into the all-important tournament.

For Windies Women, Hayley Matthews, Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin are the key batters. Matthews scored a century while Deandra Dottin scored a fifty in the last game. Shemaine Campbelle (46 of 71) was the top scorer in the first game.

In bowling, Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin will be the key. In two games,  Taylor has bagged 4 wickets and Dotting has took 6 wickets.

For South Africa Women, Laura Wolfvaardt, Sune Luus and Dane van Niekerk  will be the key in batting. Laura Wolfvaardt (54 of 82) and Dane Van Niekerk (77 of 105) were the top contributors with the bat in the last game.
