West Indies Tour of New Zealand, 2017-18

On Tuesday, Jason Holder and Co. reached New Zealand to face Black Caps. The Caribbean side is on more than a month long tour to play 3 ODI, 2 Test matches and 3 T20 starting from December 01 to January 03. The visitors will also play a 3-day warm up match with New Zealand A starting from November 25 in Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln.

The 15-member West Indies test squad for the two test matches was announced on November 05. Selectors have made one change and retained the same team who defeated Zimbabwe by 1-0 in the two test series in Bulawayo. Kyle Hope has been dropped from the test squad and Sunil Ambris has been roped in place of him.Kyle Hope has been dropped due to his poor form. In nine test innings, he has 43 as his best. As per selectors he needs to score big in domestic cricket to make a comeback on the national team.

On the other hand, New Zealand has named its squad for New Zealand A. Tom Latham has been named to skipper New Zealand A after Martin Guptill was ruled out due to hamstring injury. Colin Munro has also been replaced with all-rounder Jimmy Neesham, and Hamish Bennett has been roped in the place of injured Adam Milne.
