In the three tests match series, after the first match went for a draw the hosts India A won the 1st unofficial test in Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. The Proteas won the toss and elected to bat first but the first two wickets they lost in a quick succession put them on the back foot. Opener Sarel Erwee’s 47 and wicket keeper batsman Rudi Second’s 94 were the only two prominent innings from their side. However, the batsmen are not to blame because Mohammed Siraj with the ball was on fire. He took 5 wickets in his 20.3 over with an economy rate of 2.73. He was backed by Navdeep Saini and Rajneesh Gurbani from the other end of the pitch as they restrict the guests to 246 runs in their first innings.
The hosts came out to bat looking to take charge and both of their openers provided them with a rock solid foundation. Prithvi Shaw led the Indian innings with his 136 runs and he was commandeered by Mayank Agarwal who put up monumental individual score of 220. From the middle order Hanuma Vihari shone with his 54 runs and then in the end wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat also found his way to score 64 runs individually. India declared after setting up a total of 584 for the loss of 8 wickets.
The Proteas came down to bat in their second innings looking to chase a score of 338 runs but once again their top order failed to give them a start once again which made way for Zubayr Hamza whose knock of 63 runs off 126 balls was most needed and once again wicketkeeper Rudi Second was denied another century in the test match as he was lbw by Chahal on 94. Shaun von Berg also scored a half century to saw the Proteas through past the lead but that wasn’t enough as the tailenders collapsed without contributing much. India won the test match by an innings and 30 runs still remain.
The second unofficial test will see the Proteas being more aggressive as they had tough luck in their first game and would want to change that in this game.

We are backing Prithvi Shaw to score another century in this game as well. He has been exceptional in the last match alongside Mayank Agarwal on the top. Wicket keeper Srikar Bharat may have some firework in his innings in this match. Mohammed Siraj’s 10 wickets haul in the last test match including both innings would give him the confidence and aggression to strike the Proteas very early in their innings.
Wicketkeeper Rudi Second is expected to score big in this game specially after missing out on his century twice in the mid 90s. All rounder Senuran Muthusamy will also be a key player for this game. Beuran Hendricks will be the bowling spearhead in this game as well.
