The T20I series couldn’t separate the two sides as it ended 1-1 with the opening game being washed out due to rain. The T20I series is followed by the 3-match ODI series where the first game went to the USA by 32 runs.
Now, it is time for the second match to take the centre stage which will be played in Dubai.
It was an upset for sure in the first ODI where the United States of America posted 302 on the board courtesy veteran Xavier Marshall’s impounding innings of 170 runs from 147 deliveries. His masculine innings included 14 fours and 10 sixes which helped them post a mammoth total on the board.
For the UAE, Saif Noor was the pick of the bowlers claiming 6 for 42 from 9.3 overs while Rahul Neelesh Bhatia chipped in with 2 wickets.
UAE’s chase was led by Amjad Khan who scored a blistering 128 of just 94 deliveries before getting run-out. He did not get any support from the other end which halted their chase and eventually they were bundled out for 270 runs in 46.4 overs.
Now, the USA are just one win away from clinching the 3-match series, whereas, the UAE would be looking to stay alive in the series.
The surface is the same which has been used in the last game. Both teams got decent scores last time around and the same can be expected in this game.
