Anushka Sanjeewani was in a good touch with the bat. She scored 61 off 58 deliveries and was the only player to show strength against Pakistan’s bowling attack. Nilakshi de Silva in the lower middle order also contributed with the bat and scored 35 off 34 balls. Chamari Athapaththu and Hasini Perera will have to show some support with the bat. In bowling, Sugandika Kumari took 3 wickets at an economy of 5.75.
Pakistan will mainly rely upon skipper Bismah Maroof (42 off 31), Javeria Khan (52 off 36). They were the only two players who scored in two digits. In bowling, Diana Baig and Sana Mir took 2 wickets each and Nida Dar grabbed one.
Sri Lanka lost the first T20 as well. They have failed to register a single win against Pakistan women. This is a must-win game for them if they wish not to lose this series. Pakistan women is ahead in the series by 1-0. if they win tomorrow’s encounter they will gain an unassailable lead of 2-0 in 3 matches series. Moreover, visitors would be eyeing on yet another clean sweep. Pakistan Women will be favorites.
