Inducing the last nail in the coffin would be the only thing in the mind of the Blackcaps when they face the distorted Sri Lankans in the last match of the tour i.e. the only T20I.
After dominating in both Tests and One-dayers the Blackcaps will eye yet another win to leave Sri Lanka baffled. The hosts have rested their skipper Kane Williamson for this game which means Tim Southee will lead the charge, while some familiar names in the form of Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips have made it to the 13-member squad.
Santner would be donning the New Zealand outfit after a long injury lay-off. He played his last international game in March 2018 after which a knee injury sidelined him for almost 10 months.
Apart from him, uncapped fast bowler Scott Kuggelijn also finds a place who has just featured in 2 ODIs for the Blackcaps. They still possess a formidable challenge even without skipper Kane Williamson and will look to send Sri Lanka back without a single win under their belt.
Sri Lanka have had a disappointing tour as they lost the two-match Test series 0-1 followed by 0-3 loss in the three-match ODI series. Now, with only a T20I left in this tour, Sri Lanka would want to end their disappointment on a high and give their fans some moments to cherish.
They haven’t tickled with their squad which means there aren’t any changes in the squad from the last ODI.
