St Kitts & Nevis Patriots vs Trinbago Knight Riders, Qualifier 02

As the caravan of the Caribbean Premier League meanders to its conclusions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to stake their claim into the summit clash alongside St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Venue- Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad

Matchday- September 15, Saturday at 05:30 AM IST

Table toppers Trinbago Knight Riders have gone off the boil in the last leg of the tournament. They come into this game after suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. In the first Qualifier, their top-order came up short yet again as Narine (8), McCullum (0) and Colin Munro (0) failed to give the Knight Riders’ a steady start. Reeling at 4-26, Ingram (25), Bravo (24) and skipper DJ Bravo (22) consolidated the innings to post 7-122 in 20 overs.

Chasing 123, the Warriors’ aided by Hetmeyar (39) and Sherfane Rutherford 17-ball-30 down the order, overcame the target with two wickets still in hand to book their place in the finals.

They’ll face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, who despite a 63-ball-103 successfully chased down 5-191 as valuable contributions from Anton Devicich (50), Brandon King (21), Gayle (26) and a 10-ball-17 by Cutting helped the Patriots knock out the Tallawahs and give themselves one more chance of reaching the finals.
