The 8th match of the 2018 Big Bash League will see a Sydney derby as the Sixers will square off against Thunder at the Showground stadium.

Both teams are coming off a win in their opening encounter and will look to continue with the winning momentum.

While Sixers defeated Perth Scorchers by six wickets thanks to fifties from Daniel Hughes [62] and Jordan Silk [67] and a match-winning spell from Steven O’ Keefe [3-19].

The Thunder, meanwhile, pulled off a 15-run in a rain-affected game against Melbourne Stars after debutant Jason Sangha’s 36-ball-63 took them to 5-181 along with Daniel Sams, who also claimed three wickets to derail the Stars’ run- chase.

With a win in their opening games, both sides will look to build on the winning momentum.
