Sydney Sixers had the perfect start to their campaign when they defeated two-time champions Perth Scorchers in their opening game by 17 runs. They then slumped to 2 losses on the bounce which ruined their perfect start but a spree of 4 wins in on the trot made their way easy to enter into the semi-finals.
They did lose to Melbourne Stars in their final league game by 94 runs which they will look to shrug off as soon as possible to make start fresh in the semi-finals.
Renegades stability
In this season, Melbourne Renegades have been one of the most consistent teams for sure. they started their campaign with two wins to their name against Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Striker by 4 wickets and 5 wickets respectively and showed some great character throughout the season.
Their best performance came against Brisbane Heat whom they humiliated by 8 wickets in their first meeting and then thumped them again by a hefty margin of 101 runs. They have been great in both facets of the game and will look to continue with the same spirit in the knockouts as well.
