After winning the first ODI with six wickets Scotland has taken a lead of 1-0 in the two-match ODI series against Papua New Guinea. PNG’s opening and middle order failed like a house of cards in front of Scotland’s right arm fast medium Alasdair Evans and Safyaan Sharif. Both the bowlers bowled wonderful spell and dismissed PNG’s seven batsmen altogether. PNG’s skipper Asad Vala showed some good cricket and helped the team reach a decent total of 147 in 44.2 overs. On the other, hand Scotland chased the total easily with the help of a wonderful knock of 62 not out by Calum McLeod. Now in the second ODI scheduled at the same venue, PNG would look to avenge the loss and end the series with draw. On the other hand, as Scotland completely dominated the opponents in each field, they would like to end the series with 2-0.
