Pakistan A vs New Zealand A, 2nd Unofficial ODI Match Preview

After losing the T20I series by 2-1, Pakistan came back strongly in the first ODI on Sunday and clinched a dramatic 1 wicket win over New Zealand. After winning the toss, Pakistan invited New Zealand to set the target.

New Zealand lost the first wicket on the third ball of the innings and the second wicket on just 19 runs on the board. However, they somehow managed to put 222-10 on the board with the help of Will Young (40 of 60), Corey Anderson (38 of 47) and Todd Astle’s (51 of 71).

Coming to chase, Pakistan too had a similar story and lost their first wicket at just 3 runs. They kept suffering jolts at regular interval but managed to cross the line with 1 wicket in the kitty and 3 balls to spare, courtesy M Rizwan’s unbeaten 105 and Iftikhar Ahmed’s 46 of 69 deliveries.

Pakistan leads the 3 match ODI series by 1-0 and would be eyeing to seal the series with another win when both the teams will meet again for the second encounter. The second ODI will be played at the same ground on Wednesday morning.

PK-A vs NZ-A  Dream11 Team Predictions

Both Mohammad Rizwan and BJ Watling will be good choices. Both come to bat in middle order. However, after looking at Rizwan’s last knock (105 not out), he seems to be a better pick.

In batting, Corey Anderson, Tom Blundell and Will Young will be the perfect picks from New Zealand. You can also pick Glen Phillips. Although he returned for a duck, Philips scored two back to back fifties in T20 series. From Pakistan, Abid Ali and  Shan Maqsood will be good choices in the batsman.

In all-rounder, you can pick from Agha Salman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aamer Yamin and Toss Astle. All the four are contributing well with both bat and ball. While Todd Astle bagged a wicket after scoring a fifty, Aamer Yamin took 3 wickets with an economy under four.

In bowlers, Rahat Ali, Lockie Ferguson and Logan van Beek will be good choices. Lockie Ferguson bagged four wickets in the last game and is looking in a good flow.
