Pakistan A vs England Lions in the UAE, 2018
Pakistan A vs England A, Match 03 | PK-A vs EN-A WHO WILL WIN
After suffering a 187-run pounding in the first game, England Lions stormed back valiantly with a series-levelling six-wicket win.
The caravan of the Lions’ tour now moves on to the third one-day as both sides aim to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series.
Half-centuries from Sam Hain (71) and Alex Davies (69) were at the heart of the Lions’six-wickett win as the duo helped by brisk cameos from Lewis Gregory (32) and Liam Livingstone (29) led their side home while chasing 7-289, set by Pakistan-A.
But the target could have been a lot more had it not been for Saqib Mahmood (3-59) and Jamie Overton’s flurry of wickets at the backend of Pakistan’s innings after Mohammad Saad (117) and skipper Mohammad Rizwan’s (98) 211-run stand threatened to take the total past 300.
With the series locked at 1-1, the third One-day has got all the makings of being a humdinger and the side that wins it will certainly have the opportunity to dominate the narrative for the remainder of the series.
