OTG vs CTB Dream11 Prediction

Super Smash, 2018 | Otago Volts vs Canterbury, Match 02 | OTG vs CTB Who Will Win

The Big Picture

It is the season of T20 leagues. With the Mzansi Super League just culminated and BBL [Men + Women] in full show, New Zealand’s perennial T20 competition- Super Smash, is set to enthral the cricketing folklore. The second game of the season will see Otago Volts square off against Canterbury on Sunday.

Otago Volts had a great Ford Trophy campaign after having finished as the runners-up, losing to the Firebirds in the final. The Volts have a balanced line-up and will look to carry on with their good run-of form from Ford Trophy. The likes of Hamish Rutherford [393 runs at 65.50], Christian Viljoen [175 runs at 175.00], Michael Rippon [300 runs at 42.85], Neil Broom [380 runs at 38.00] will spearhead the batting uni while Nathan Smith [11 wickets] and Anaru Kitchen [3 wickets] will lead the all-rounder’s department. Jacob Duffy [25 wickets at 19.40] will once again lead the bowling unit.

Canterbury, on the other hand, had an abysmal 2018 Ford Trophy campaign and will look for a positive start to their Super Smash sojourn. Cole McConchie [13 wickets & 246 runs] led the team with both bat and ball and will look to do the same while the onus of leading the batting unit will be on Chad Bowes [414 runs at 46.00], Cam Fletcher [228 runs at 38.00] and Stephen Murdoch [340 runs at 37.77]. Will Williams [11 wickets] was the second highest wicket-taker for his side in the Ford Trophy and will once again be the key to Canterbury fortunes with the ball.
