NZ vs PAK Dream11 Match Predictions

Pakistan vs New Zealand in UAE, 2018 | Pakistan vs New Zealand, 3rd Test | NZ vs PAK Who Will Win

The Big Picture

After going down in sensational style in the first Test, hosts Pakistan flexed their muscles with disdain in the second Test to beat the BlackCaps by an innings & 16 runs to square the series 1-1.

With an aim to register their first series win against New Zealand since 2010-11, Sarfaraz & co will lock horns with the BlackCaps in the third and final Test on Monday.

The second Test was all about Yasir Shah. The mercurial leg-spinner claimed 14 wickets (8-41 & 6-143) to bamboozle the Kiwis batting order. None of the Kiwi batters was able to pick the dip and turn of the leggie and were forced to follow-on after getting bowled out for 90 in reply to Pakistan’s 5-418; headlined by Haris Sohail and Babar Azam’s hundred.

Heading into the third Test, Pakistan will most probably be without  Mohammad Abbas, who injured his shoulder while diving in his sides’ series-levelling win in Dubai. Shaheen Shah Afridi might make his Test debut in case Abbas is ruled out.

For New Zealand, it will be all about negating the Yasir Shah threat. They showed marked improvement in the second innings with Latham (50), Taylor (80) and Nicolls (77) scoring 50s, and will have build on it if they are to salvage their record of not losing a Test series to Pakistan in the UAE.

NZ vs PAK Dream11 Team:

Batsmen – Azhar Ali [81], Haris Sohail [147] and Babar Azam [127] had a great outing in the last game, so did Ross Taylor [80], Henry Nicolls [77] and Tom Latham [50].  Kane Williamson had a rare off game at Abu Dhabi. Expect him to come up with the goods in the series decider.

Wicket-keeper – Sarfaraz Ahmed has been in good form since the Australia series. He is an ideal pick for the all-rounder’s spot.

All-rounder – None of the all-rounder’s in de Granddhomme, Hafeez and Bilal Asif has done anything substantial thus far. You can opt for any of them in your Dream11 side.

Bowlers – Once again the spinners are expected to rule the roost in Abu Dhabi. Making Yasir Shah or Ajaz Patel could help you reap high points in your Dream11 side. From the fast bowlers, with the participation of Abbas in doubt, Hasan Ali and Neil Wagner are safe bets.

Wild Card- Shaheen Shah Afridi- Pick him in your Grand League team.
