After a nail biting game in the first T20 match of the Tri-series among Netherlands, Ireland and Scotland, Ireland failed to chase down a target of 144 runs put up by the Dutch in 19.5 over. It was a low scoring game but the bowling attack of both the teams was just top notch for the game. Defending a score of 144 runs and that too against a team who are generally known as taking down any target on their day failed to reach there by four runs. It was a great display by all rounder Simi Singh who took three wickets with the ball and also scored an unbeaten 55 of 29 balls to get to that close to win the game but it was not enough as their Irish luck ran out and they lost the first game. As now the Irish will prepare for their second clash with the Dutchmen, it remains to see what both the teams would do to come out on top. A thrilling game awaits everyone at Hazelaarweg.
