Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils will lock horns in the next IPL 2018 clash. Both the teams have lost both of their encounters and are still looking for their first win in this edition. Mum and DEL will face each other at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 14. The clash will begin at 04:00 PM Local.
While MI has lost both of its encounter in the last three balls of the match and by just 1 wicket each, Delhi again stumbled while chasing a DLS revised target of 71 in a 6 over match against Rajasthan Royals. This will be the second home game for MI while DD hasn’t played any home game so far. It will be interesting to watch if DD starts its journey with an away win. Moreover, the Mum vs Del dream11 match prediction is listed below.
After losing two games which they had almost won, Mumbai would be craving hard for their first win. Hardik Pandya is set to return in the next clash against DD. Pradeep Sangwan will make way for him. Rest no changes are expected in the MI playing 11.
Hardik Pandya’s availability is still under clouds. He is a risky bet in today’s match.
On the opposite, Delhi is not expected to undergo any changes and might field the same playing 11. If they wish they could try Liam Plunkett in the place of Trent Boult. However, team management has not indicated towards any such change.

Rohit Sharma (c), Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Ishan Kishan (wk), Akila Dananjaya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mayank Markande, Evin Lewis, Pradeep Sangwan, Mustafizur Rahman, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Rahul Chahar, Suryakumar Yadav, Saurabh Tiwary, Jean-Paul Duminy, Tajinder Singh, Sharad Lumba, Anukul Roy, Mohsin Khan, MD Nidheesh
Gautam Gambhir (c), Rahul Tewatia, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Sayan Ghosh, Shahbaz Nadeem, Abhishek Sharma, Jason Roy, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Shami, Colin Munro, Trent Boult, Vijay Shankar, Chris Morris, Shreyas Iyer, Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant (wk), Liam Plunkett, Naman Ojha, Daniel Christian, Harshal Patel, Jayant Yadav, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane, Prithvi Shaw, Manjot Kalra
Both the teams might field the same playing 11 except for one or two changes. Hardik Pandya is expected to retain his position back from Pradeep Sangwan. The expected Mum vs Del playing 11 is as follows-
Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Evin Lewis, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Suryakumar Yadav, Pradeep Sangwan/Hardik Pandya, Mayank Markande, Mustafizur Rahman, Jasprit Bumrah
Gautam Gambhir (c), Colin Munro, Shreyas Iyer, Shahbaz Nadeem, Glenn Maxwell, Vijay Shankar, Chris Morris, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Tewatia, Rishabh Pant (wk), Trent Boult
In both the games Mumbai has played as a team. Almost everyone has contributed equally. Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya will be the key batters for MI. Skipper Rohit Sharma is looking out the form. But, no one knows if he returns to his form on his home ground. In bowling, Mayank Markande will be the trump card. He has taken 7 wickets in two games and holds the purple cap. Along with him, Jasprit Bumrah and M Fiz will be the other contributors with the ball.
For Delhi, all the eyes will be on skipper Gautam Gambhir, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell. Although they looked handicapped in front of RR’s clever bowling attack in a rain-affected match, DEL is expected to make a strong comeback with these big hitters.
Shahbaz Nadeem was the top contributor with the ball in the last match. He took two wickets while M Shami and Trent Boult shared one wicket each.
Well, you can curse it on the MI’s fortune, despite a good show put by the whole team in both the encounters. They lost both their encounter in the last over. They will desperately be looking for a win when they will take on Delhi Daredevils in the sea of blues, Wankhede Stadium. On contrary, Delhi Daredevils are still lacking somewhere. They are still missing that X-factor. In their first encounter, they failed to perform with the ball, while in second they failed to chase an achievable target. If we compare both the teams, MI is looking a bit stronger than the visitors. As per our Mum vs Del match prediction, the host will turn out to be the winner.
While choosing a wicket-keeper, Ishan Kishan of MI will be a better choice than Rishabh Pant as he comes up in the batting order. In the batsmen section, both the skippers G Gambhir and Rohit Sharma, Evin Lewis of MI and Surya Kumar Yadav will be a safe bet.
In terms of an all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell of DD and Hardik Pandya of MI are the best choice. You can also shuffle Hardik with Krunal. But, in terms of gaining more points in fantasy team, Hardik will be a good choice due to his overall performance.
In bowling, Mayank Markande is the must-have bowler. J Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman can be the other choices. Shahnaz Nadeem is also a good option.
Here’s our MUM vs DEL Dream11 fantasy team-
Please note: Hardik Pandya’s availability is still under clouds. He is a risky bet in today’s match.
