Womens Big Bash, 2018 | Melbourne Stars vs Brisbane Heat, 21st Match Preview | MS-W vs BH-W Who Will Win
As the caravan of the 2018 Womens Big Bash rolls on Melbourne Stars will lock horns with Brisbane Heat in what is expected to be a riveting encounter at the Gabba.
After dropping two games on the trot against Hurricanes [by 72 runs] and Perth Scorchers [by eight wickets], the Stars got one back over the Scorchers when they defeated them by four wickets.
Skipper Kristen Beams [3-13] and Georgia Elwiss [2-10] imperious bowling effort was at the heart of Stars win in the last game as the duo wrecked through the Scorchers’ batting line-up to restrict them to 7-90 in 20 overs which were chased down in 15.3 overs thanks to Katie Mack’s 31-ball-33.
They’ll face Brisbane Heat, who too are coming off a 21-run win over Melbourne Renegades. Batting first, the Heat scored 8-174 with virtually everyone barring Sune Luus [0] and Delissa Kimmince [2] putting up handy contributions.
Chasing 175, the Renegades got off to a great start with Dani Wyatt [32] and Amy Satterthwaite [38] accumulating 75 for the opening stand but Sammy-Jo Johnson’s dismissal of Dani Wyatt started a collapse as Sune Luus [2-16] and Jemma Barsby [2-26] ran through the middle-order to restrict them to 7-153 in 20 overs.
With a victory in their last game respectively, both sides will look to continue with the winning momentum.
