MR-W vs SS-W Dream11 Predictions

Womens Big Bash, 2018-19 | Melbourne Renegades Women vs Sydney Sixers Women, Match 31 | MR-W vs ST-W Who Will Win

The Big Picture

The 31st match of the Women Big Bash will see Melbourne Renegades square off against defending champions Sydney Sixers as the latter aim to shrug off the blip they’d suffered at the hands of Brisbane Heat [lost by 66 runs]. On Paper, it looks like a clear mismatch with the Sydney Sixers at the second spot after having won five of their seven fixtures while the Renegades are languishing at the bottom [2 wins in six games] and in a desperate situation to revive their fledgeling campaign.

The Renegades come into this game on the back of a 15-run loss at the hands of Perth Scorchers after they failed to chase down 173. Insipid bowling display coupled by the panache of Scorchers’ opener in Lanning [75] and Villani [62], who amassed a 143-run opening stand. Chasing 173, Dani Wyatt [42] and Sophie Molineux [22] got their side to a steady start with a 49-run stand but Heather Graham [2-32], Peschel [1-24] and Emma King [1-22] took ts at regular intervals to stall the run-chase which eventually finished at 6-157- 15 runs adrift of the target.

The Sixers, on the other hand, were steamrolled at the hands of Brisbane Heat in the last game after a rare top-order failure saw them get bowled out for 88 while chasing 155. For once, Elysse Perry endured a rare failure as Sammy-Jo Johnson [3-23] ran through their top-order with able support from Kimmince [2-12] and Jemma Barsby [2=17] to bowl the defending champions for 88- 66 runs adrift of the target.

While the Renegades will look to cash in on the what was a rare abysmal performance by the defending champions, the Sixers will look to shrug off the blip and get back to winning ways.
