Table toppers Kolkata Knight Riders would be looking to continue their winning streak when they host Gayle powered Kings XI Punjab in the first match of the Saturday doubleheader at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The match will start at 04:00 PM Local.
Knight Riders have won their two last matches quite comfortably and would be eyeing third win a row. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab is riding high on their last moment purchase – Chris Gayle. Punjab has also won both their last matches, courtesy Chris Gayle-man of the match in both games.
Punjab won its last game by 15 runs against SRH, the most lethal bowling attack in this IPL. It will be interesting to watch if the Gaylestorm comes in Eden Gardens also. However, it won’t be that easy as KKR too has its own Russellstorm. Moreover, a high-scoring and enthralling contest is on the way.
KKR- W, L, L, W, W
KXIP- W, L, W, W
Currently, Kings XI Punjab has one of the strongest batting line-ups in this IPL. With Gayle in form at the top, Kings 11 Punjab are unlikely to tinker their winning combination. There are no injury concerns also. The bowlers too had a good outing against SRH.
There is no news on Axar Patel’s injury. He is likely to miss this match also.
Almost everyone is proving themselves in KRR. The whole team is performing as a unit. As far any injury is concerned, KKR will also stick to its same playing 11.
