Vitality T20 Blast, 2018

Kent Spitfires vs Middlesex, South Group

Kent Spitfires will take on Middlesex in the South Group fixture on Sunday in what is expected to be a riveting encounter.

Venue:- St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury

Match Timings:- Sunday, August 12, 2018, 07:30 PM IST

Kent’s last competed fixture resulted in an eight-wicket humbling against Gloucestershire despite skipper Joe Denly’s 63-ball-99 as none of the other batsmen couldn’t offer him substantial support resulting in an underwhelming total of 5-160 in 20 overs.

Their opponents in Middlesex, have endured an abysmal campaign thus far- 2 wins in 11 games. They ran into a rampaging Ian Cockbain in the last game, who scored a whirlwind 61-ball-123 to take Gloucestershire to a barely believable 4-242 in 20 overs, which despite Steve Eskinazi’s 51 wasn’t enough as they ended up with 6-172; 70 runs adrift of the target.
