When and where:
After 5-0 whitewash in the ODI series against England, Australia will once again gear up for the last clash of their England tour. Both the teams will face each other for the last time in the only T20I scheduled to take place at Edgbaston, Birmingham tomorrow(June 27). The game will start at 11:00 PM IST/06:30 PM Local.
After ODI whitewash, a complete tour whitewash is hovering over the visitors now. Alex Carey who is deputy to Aaron Finch for the only T20I is hoping to get a win tomorrow and end the tour at a good note. Australia is currently placed second in the team rankings in Twenty20 internationals and has registered six straight wins. With a couple of new inclusions, Carey is determined of doing well and said, “losing 5-0 is not acceptable for the Australian cricket team. We don’t want that result ever again.”
On the opposite, the hosts are currently in their best phase in ODI cricket and completely dominated the rivals in all format in almost every game. It will be interesting to watch if the change in format bring in change in luck for the visitors or they go back empty-handed.
