When and where:
England and New Zealand meet in the second game of the New Zealand Women’s Tour of England series tomorrow (July 10) at County Ground, Derby.
England Women absolutely dominated the first game the two teams played. Scoring 290 runs by batting first, their bowlers took all ten wickets of New Zealand in 35.3 overs. They won the game by a margin of 142 runs.
Batswoman Amy Ellen Jones and captain Heather Knight were the stars while England posted the total. Laura Marsh and Natalie Sciver earned the plaudits for their commendable bowling performances as well. All in all, it was a beautiful effort by the team ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017 Champions.
Meanwhile, New Zealand would want to bounce back immediately after a humiliating performance. They looked all over the place against a top-tier side and need to recover from the loss they’ve faced. Barring the performance of Amelia Kerr (2-36 in 10 overs), everybody else failed to deliver. The Kiwis would want to forget about their last outing and focus on what they can do now.
The match will begin at 05:30 PM IST.
