CSK vs RR Dream11 Prediction

Indian Premier League, 2019 | Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals, 25th Match | CSK vs RR Who Will Win

The Chennai Super Kings who are at the top of the pile will next face the Rajasthan Royals in the 25th match of the competition which will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Royals who are struggling to get going would be hoping to put up a decent show at their home against a quality side like Chennai to get themselves the momentum going forward.

Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions are definitely on a roll. They are looking unstoppable as of now with only one loss from 6 games. Their only loss came in the away game against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede.

Currently, they are on a winning run of two matches as they defeated Kings XI Punjab by 22 runs and Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in their last two games played at home i.e. the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

With the struggle, Rajasthan are currently in, it would be a relatively easy task for the Super Kings to tame them like the way they did in Chepauk on 31st March by defeating RR by 8 wickets.

Rajasthan Royals

The story for Rajasthan Royals this season has not been praiseworthy as they have managed to win a single match from 5 encounters and are languishing at the 7th position on the points table.

Their only win of the season came against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets courtesy a magical bowling spell from Shreyas Gopal who scalped 3 wickets for just 12 runs from his quota of 4 overs which also included a maiden.  It was a confidence booster win for Rajasthan after slumping to three back-to-back defeats in their opening 3 games. But, the story remained the same after that win as they have now lost two more games.

Their international stars Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler have looked ordinary so far which has definitely hindered the team’s performance.

The surface at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur

The last game played at this surface between KKR and RR saw the pitch remaining slow throughout the first innings which made it tough for the batsmen to get going. The second innings saw the pitch changing drastically and it became easy to score runs. The contest between the bat and ball here will be interesting to see.

CSK vs RR Dream 11 Team News

  • CSK’s think tank has used their resources pretty well. The bowlers in the side have delivered on whatever surface they have played so far, whereas the batsmen have looked good in bits and pieces.
  • Rajasthan Royals haven’t looked settled and with the injury to Sanju Samson, their batting looks even more helpless.
  • Unadkat can be brought back in the place of S Midhun who did not had a debut to remember in the last game.

CSK vs RR Dream11 Teams

Players to watch out for CSK:

Faf du Plessis has got a fifty in the game against KXIP followed by an unbeaten 43 in the match against KKR. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are the other batting options from CSK who have looked good. Among others, Shane Watson is a good option as well.

Deepak Chahar scalped 4 in the last game, while the spin duo of Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir have been among wickets on a regular basis.

Players to watch out for RR:

Rajasthan’s bowling has been a worry so far. Baring Shreyas Gopal, all the bowlers have struggled to get going. Ben Stokes has looked obsolete with both bat and ball but he is a match-winner for sure and Rajasthan would be hoping for him to deliver tonight.

Steve Smith who looked rusty since the start of the tournament finally got a 70+ score in the last game. Although, his innings wasn’t an attractive one but getting some runs under the belt is always a confidence booster. Jos Buttler has been piling up 30’s and 40’s so fare and RR would be hoping he gets a big one here.
