CD vs WEL Dream11 Predictions

Ford Trophy, 2018

Central Districts vs Wellington Firebirds, Match 20 | CD vs WEL WHO WILL WIN

The 20th match of the ongoing Ford Trophy will see Central Districts lock horns with table-toppers Wellington Firebirds in what is expected to be a pulsating encounter on Wednesday.

Districts aim to continue with the winning momentum; Firebirds look to get back to winning ways

Central Districts shrugged off their four-match winless streak in some style as they quashed aside defending champions Auckland Aces (by 170 runs) with disdain. CD’s imperious batting effort which saw them post a competitive 8-295 in 50 overs was backed up by an astounding bowling effort spearheaded by Ben Wheeler’s 4-24, to bowl the Aces for a paltry 125 in 30.1 overs.

They’ll look to build on the winning momentum but will have to do an encore of the last game when they take on table-toppers Wellington Firebirds, who will look to shrug the blip of the last match where against a rampaging Jacob Duffy (5-38), their batsmen failed to chase down 218 despite Jimmy Neesham’s 105-ball-100.
