Windies tour of Bangladesh, 2018 | Bangladesh vs Windies, 2nd T20I | BAN vs WI Who Will Win
After enduring an eight-wicket shellacking at the hands of World Twenty20 champions, hosts Bangladesh will look to shrug off the blip and gain parity to the 3-match series when they square off against the Windies at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.
That the Windies are a different side when it comes to the shortest format of the game was testified to the hilt in the first T20I. Opting to bat first, the hosts were rocked by the pace of Sheldon Cottrell [4-28] and Oshane Thomas [1-33]. The duo, Cotrell in particular, wrecked through the Bangladesh top-order with Tamim , Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar failing to register double-digit scores.
Skipper Shakib Al Hasan waged a lone battle with a 43-ball-61 but with the paucity of support from the other end, the hosts were bowled out for a meagre 129 in 19 overs.
Chasing 130, Shai Hope carried on from where he had left in the ODIs, scoring a whirlwind 23-ball-55, and along with Evin Lewis forged a 51-run opening stand before Nicholas Pooran and Keemo Paul took the visitors home in a mere 10.5 overs.
Coming into the second T20I, the visitors would aim for an encore of yesterday’s performance and take an unassailable 0-2 lead in the series to cap off what has been a disappointing tour after having lost both the Test and ODI series. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will hope for an improved performance from their batters- especially the top-order if they are to enforce a decider in the 3-match rubber.

Nicolas Pooran, who scored a 17-ball-23, has had a great year in Twenty20 cricket this year. He, along with Shakib Al Hasan- the lone performer with the bat for Bangladesh in the last game and Shimron Hetmeyar will lead the middle-order. Pooran will also don the wicket-keeping gloves.
Other Options:- Mushfiqur Rahim, Evin Lewis, Darren Bravo
Along with Shakib, Fabian Allen [1-19] and Mahmudullah will take up the all-rounder’s spot.
Sheldon Cottrell and [4-28] and Keemo Paul [2-23] were the wreckers-in-chief for the visitors in the last game. They along with Mustafizur will form the fast bowling unit of my Dream11 team.
