With three wins in three games, India marched into semi-finals after beating Ireland by 52 runs in their previous encounter. They are the second team to qualify for the semi-final spot after Australia in Group B.

Now, both the teams will meet in a dead rubber scheduled to take place on Saturday at Guyana.

Put into bat, India managed to post 145-6 on a pitch that had seen some rain earlier, courtesy Mithali Raj’ fifty. In response, Ireland Women managed 93-8 in the allotted overs, falling short of 52 runs. Radha Yadav was the pick of the bowler for India for bagging 3 wickets.

AUSW vs NZW

Batting first, Australia posted a defendable 154 runs target for New Zealand Women with the help of a fifty from Alyssa Healy. Coming to chase, New Zealand Women suffered a shaky start after losing three wickets with mere 13 runs on board. Suzie Bates (48 of 42) along with Katey Martin (24 of 20) tried to resurrect the innings but couldn’t help New Zealand cross the line. The whole team got out at 120 in 17.3 overs, falling short of 3 runs.

Megan Schutt, Sophie Molineux and Delissa Kimmince collectively bagged 7 wickets for Australia. Both the sides have remained unbeaten so far and would be eyeing to carry the momentum.
