AS-W vs MS-W Dream11 Prediction

Womens Big Bash, 2018 | Adelaide Strikers Women vs Melbourne Stars Women, Match 23 Preview | AS-W vs MS-W Who Will Win

The Big Picture

As the caravan of the Womens Big Bash rolls on, Adelaide Strikers will square off against Melbourne Stars at the Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide. This is a crucial game for both sides. While the Strikers find themselves at the sixth spot in the points table after losing three of their four completed fixtures [one game ended in a washout], Melbourne Stars campaign have tapered off after starting with back-to-back wins in their opening two fixtures.

Since their back-to-back victories in the opening two fixtures, they have proceeded to lose three of the next four fixtures. They come into this game on the back of a ten-wicket shellacking at the hands of Brisbane Heat thanks to a whirlwind ton from Heat all-rounder Grace Harris [101].

The Strikers, on the other hand, suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Sydney Thunder over the weekend. While the first game saw Suzie Bates [79] wage a lone battle scoring almost 60 per cent of the teams’ total of 132, the second game saw their bowler’s inability to defend the target of 146 against the onslaught of Steffanie Taylor [55] and India T20 skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored a match-winning 52 not out.

Coming into this fixture, both sides would aim to shrug off their lacklustre form and address their fledgeling ship as the tournament approaches the half-way mark.
