AFGH vs IRE Dream11 Team | Afghanistan vs Ireland 3rd ODI Match Preview & Prediction | Team News, Fantasy Team
Following a whitewash in T20 series, Ireland are now in trouble in the ODI series against Afghanistan. The Afghans won the first ODI of the 5-match ODI series, while the second match was washed away by rain. The 3rd match will be contested by the two teams with the same objective of winning, but for different reasons. Afghanistan will seek to win the game and attain an unassailable lead while Ireland would want to win and stay alive in the tournament.
Venue – Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun
Date & Time – 5th March | 01:00 PM IST
The two teams on tour to India will gain a lot from this experience as they continue to grow. Afghanistan and Ireland are not mainstream cricket teams, not by any means, but both have shown the promise.
Before the tour started, both the teams were fairly comparable but Afghanistan have shown great dominance. They smashed Ireland off the park in commendable fashion in the T20 series and the first match of ODI series was different. Having qualified for the World Cup, Afghanistan are really pushing the envelope with impressive performances and they might not be very far off some recognized cricket teams in the world.
The Irish have learned an important lesson and they have still a lot more to learn before they make it among the big ones. Not a lot has gone right for them, but they should look at it with some positivity and accept their shortcomings. Apart from a few individual sparks, the European team has largely failed to assert as a group.
