Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades would be looking for the second win in as many games when they meet at Adelaide Oval on Sunday. The defending champions Adelaide Strikers began their BBL 2018-19 campaign with a 5-wicket win over Brisbane Heat. First, they restricted Brisbane Heat to a below-par 146 runs and later killed the chase early in the innings with Alex Carey’s going berserk.
Melbourne Renegades, on the other hand, registered a 4-wicket win in their first fixture of the new BBL edition. The Renegades opted to bowl first after winning the toss and bowled Perth Scorchers out for 103. In reply, they stuttered early and were reduced to 17-4 at one stage but Sam Harper and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi hung in there to take their side over the line. The Renegades got away with poor batting performance in the last outing but would be looking for a better show with the bat here.
