Gambling racket busted in Hyderabad by Task Force

Another gambling racket busted in Hyderabad by a Task Force, specially formed by the state police to seek out gambling dens and bust them. The Task Force charged into a building in Yellareddyguda under Panjagutta police station jurisdiction after getting an anonymous tip-off. The police detained eight persons in custody of gambling and grabbed cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

In words of DCP P Radha Kishan Rao, when the raid was going on Tuesday night, movie producer K V Ramana Reddy (61), and native of Manikonda was organizing gaming house in a building by taking a percentage and making illegal money.

Inspector B Gattu Mallu directed the operation with the support of Sub-Inspectors M Prabhakar Reddy, V Kishore, P Mallikarjun, L Bhaskar Reddy and other officers. The arrested along with seized material were handed over to Panjagutta police station.

Some weeks back, the Hyderabad Cyber cell also busted a gambling racket, and there are a few instances of such across the country.
