Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested two men for their alleged involvement in cricket betting. The accused are Rauf Khan and his brother Wahid alias Baddu Khan. The duo arrested from their house following a tip off of the location in Kasai Mandi area, Sanyogitaganj, Indore. Sanyogitaganj police along with a crime branch team raided the site and found Rs 19,150 cash, mobile phones, and a document-filled register. Police have seized all the belongings.
The Police department is now pushing the two arrested for giving out the details of betting investors. On further investigations, the police found out Rauf Khan to be involved in at least six other betting and gambling cases. All these cases are registered in Sanyogitaganj and other police stations. ASP crime branch, Amrendra Singh, said, “We were already on a lookout for the involvement of people in betting rackets across the city. Many people have been arrested in the recent past.”
