NZ-W-Y vs AU-W-Y Dream11 Match Prediction | New Zealand Women Development Squad vs Australia Women Unders 19s  Match Preview | Fantasy Team& Team News

The Trans Tasman rivalry is set to be reignited at the youth stage for Australia and New Zealand women. New Zealand youth team will face the Aussies in a 3-match one-day international series before a T20 game on March 17th.  The first ODI of the series will take place tomorrow in Lincoln.

The Preview

The second and the third matches of the series will be played on 14th March and 16th March, respectively. Both the teams are hoping to gain significant experience in their youth set-ups and the tournament is expected to give just that. Ant Sharp, New Zealand Development program lead, said, ” It’s based on potential and trying to provide a succession plan for our future international teams.”

She continued,  “It’s an opportunity for us to learn a bit about them and for them to learn more about training and playing. It’s also about understanding the players’ strengths so we can try and develop their game further and see how potentially they can fit into their roles at international level.’’

Australia U19s coach, Shelley Nitschke resonated by saying, “The selectors have chosen a really exciting and talented group of players that I’m really looking forward to working with, and hopefully they can benefit from the experience of playing in foreign conditions and against an opposition most of them are yet to face. With the additional opportunities, young players are now being exposed to, we’re seeing them develop at a much quicker rate, with over half the squad holding WBBL contracts this season and quickly becoming household names.”

Match Details: Competiton – One Day International Series | Venue – Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln | Date & Time – 12th March, 03:00 AM IST
